Under DDG (Decentralized Distributed Generation) scheme in the state of Uttar Pradesh
Electrification of 25 villages of 05 districts is done through Solar energy in decentralized
mode. The electrification of these 25 villages is done through 28 projects of solar
power plants of total capacity 548.4 kW. Under the program 3765 households of 25
villages are provided Grid quality power through Power Distribution Network (PDN)
which will save 548.4 kW of peak load electricity. Above work is done by installing
Solar Power Plant and grid in which electricity is produced without creating pollution.
Through installing this project the carbon emission can be reduced by 660 tonne
per year.
The DDG project are financed by Rural Electrification Corporation, Ministry of Power,
Govt. of India in which 90% of project cost has been provided as capital subsidy
and balance 10% cost as loan to U.P State government/REC Limited.
